Partnering with a non-profit or municipality, CATs plan, organize and complete large and small scale service projects to give back to their communities. These projects involve all employees from a company site and may be scheduled for one day or a series of days depending on the work needs of the site. The mission of the Vermont Foodbank is to gather and share quality food and nurture partnerships that will end hunger in Vermont. Once donated product is examined and sorted, it is then offered to the Foodbank's network partners.
CVHS is an animal shelter and resource center that serves the region. Services include caring for homeless animals, preventive spay/neuter programs, and providing community education and resources for those in need of help with pets.
For more than 25 years, Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity has helped to change the lives of local families through simple, decent and affordable housing. Habitat recipients give 200 hours of sweat equity per adult (up to 400 hours) to build homes, then purchase them at cost with no interest loans, that in turn build more Habitat houses.
Northern Lights Program is a supportive home for women returning from prison. The goal is for each woman to build a safe, healthy, and productive life in the Burlington community. Northern Lights is a collaborative program that includes Vermont Works for Women, Mercy Connections Inc., Vermont Children’s Aid Society, and Burlington Housing Authority
For more than two decades, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta has provided a safe, loving place where children from Vermont and New York who have, or have had cancer, can play, swim, share and heal. In short, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta is where kids go to reclaim a childhood robbed by cancer.
Food Works at Two Rivers Center is Central Vermont’s hands-on food and agricultural education center working to strengthen local food systems and empower children, families, and seniors to grow, prepare, eat and preserve their own foods.
